About The Milky Way
It’s hard to believe that twenty five years ago this year I was still a dairy farmer and a cattle dealer. It all changed in July 1984 when myself and my wife Christine were forced to diversify into tourism in order to survive. One day we were running a successful business the next, without warning and through no fault of our own, we were facing financial ruin following the introduction of milk quotas by the European Community.
Originally The Milky Way was one of the countries first working farms but over the years, as the number of farm parks in the region increased, we have developed into an all weather adventure park. We’ve worked hard during the last 25 years, constantly reinvesting in the base facilities whilst also expanding the range of attractions that we offer at The Milky Way. Throughout this, our overriding aim has been to create a day out in North Devon that encourages adults and children to spend more time having fun together. Today, the Milky Way offers nearly 2.5 acres of undercover heated facilities and over 10 acres of outdoor areas, making it one of the regions biggest all weather days out and a great place to visit in Devon when it's raining!
A major part of The Milky Way experience is provided by our loyal and hard working team. We’re incredibly proud and lucky to have such great staff and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for consistently providing a genuinely friendly day out for our guests.
If you’re looking for honest, value for money, fun filled family days out in Devon, I think you might just have found one!
Your adventure awaits...we look forward to welcoming you to The Milky Way Adventure Park soon.
