Sad goodbye to Stitch.

Sadly, our dear Stitch, a hybrid falcon, died last week. He was wise, gentle, powerful and reliable ... and will be much missed.

He arrived at The Milky Way in 2002 aged three years old, and after initial training enjoyed two hours of freedom every day. Released at 1pm, he'd roam the local countryside only to always turn up at 3pm (on the dot!) to start the afternoon demonstration. He did this every day for 22 years.

Stitch died peacefully of old age at the Bird of Prey centre and will be buried in the grounds of The Milky Way.
